UK weather can be unpredictable. Though bouncy castles can be the highlight of an event, they become dangerous in high winds. The Health and Safety Executive (HSE) advises that inflatables should not be used when wind speeds exceed 24 mph (38 kph), including gusts.

A 24 mph wind, classified as a "Fresh Breeze" (Level 5 on the Beaufort scale), can cause small trees to sway. At this wind speed, inflatables may tip or lift off the ground, posing serious risks.

How We Assess Wind Conditions
